How to choose disk lights?

Disk lights are designed without a main light, or even an essential illuminator in a design with a main light. So, how to choose disk lights?

1. Drive. As the core component of disk lights, the brand and quality of the driver often determine its lighting effect and service life. When we choose disk lights, we might as well read the manual carefully, or consult the store to find out the brand and grade of the driver.

2. Chip. The importance of the disk light chip is that it directly affects its brightness, life, light decay, etc., and has the same importance as the driver. To be honest, when it comes to lighting chips, we still think that big domestic brands and imported ones are more reliable, and we do not recommend choosing some unknown, small-market products.

3. Type of light source. The light source of disk lights is generally LED. Common light sources include energy-saving COB, SMD wafer, halogen lamp, and metal halide lamp. The first two are LEDs, while the latter are mostly used in industrial and mining sites and are not suitable for home use. The most popular commercial and household disk lights nowadays are COB disk lights. Among them, halogen lamps have been gradually eliminated from the market due to poor light efficiency.

Then, we think the more convenient way to judge is to choose disk lights from regular manufacturers and well-known brands. Relatively speaking, the probability of errors in such brand products is much smaller, and the impact of negative news on manufacturers is relatively large. Therefore, they have more motivation to ensure product quality.
